Baume

Way back in the spring of 2010, my brother got a job as an intern at Yosemite National Park. He was posting all sorts of wonderful, beautiful pictures. Around the same time, Cooperative Press put out a call for submissions for a series of books called Fresh Designs.   What resulted was a pair of socks suitable for hiking up long trails on the mountain-side.

They are remarkably squishy, soft, and in general everything a good pair of knitted socks should be (if I do say so myself).  The original pair got send off to my brother straight away, but this pair is destined for my father-in-law. And while he may not be using them to scale mountains, I’m sure they’ll get just as much love and appreciation walking around the city.

If you like them, please buy a copy of the book!
