Taking Home the Gold

I finished weaving in the ends of Mystere on Wednesday night while watching the women’s bobsled teams race down the track.  I tried it on, and was instantly pleased with the fit and the finished project.

Then I promptly washed and blocked it, but now it is dry!  Yay!  There were a few moments when I wanted to set down the sleeves and not pick them up for a long while, but I persevered and even managed to finish before the Olympics were over.  I love the Knitting Olympics so much, not just because I have a sweater in less than two weeks, but also because I love being a part of the larger knitting community.

But, have no fear, there are still projects on the needles.  I started a simple garter stitch shawl while Steve and I saw Shutter Island and I’m working on some test knitting and a new design.
